Headlights are one of the most important, yet overlooked part of your Nissan. Headlights are, by law, mandatory for safety purposes. They not only are for you to see while driving at night, in low light, or during storms but for other drivers to see you too. On average when your lights are on low beams, they should shine about 150 feet in front of your car, which gives you time to react to things in the road in front of you. Headlights are also a big aesthetic part of your car, and usually one of the first things people see as they approach. If they are not as shiny as they should be, it’s the first thing people notice too.

To keep your car happy, the bulbs should be changed right away if they burn out. However, if you notice that your headlights are dim even after you change the bulb then get a replacement headlight. Headlight dimming is usually caused from road-wear. Road-wear happens as you drive and is unavoidable. Basically small debris from the road spring up and hit your headlight lens over and over, causing small scratches that pile up and make them looked fogged or frosted. Small chips and cracks can also form, letting water, bugs and dust inside the headlight which shortens the life of the bulb itself and greatly limits the amount of light that can shine out.

It also makes your Nissan look a little less awesome, because of how little shine the headlights can produce all scratched up.When replacing your headlights for your Nissan 350z you do not have to buy new, used headlights are just as good and cost a bunch less.
